Entrepreneurship · Leadership · LegacyMeet Inherit Wisdom: a podcast where a father and his two sons sit down with remarkable people to ask what wisdom shaped their lives, what tested it, and what they want to pass on.
Growing up, our family prayed for wisdom every day. Now, as sons become fathers and mentors become friends, that same prayer continues. Inherit Wisdom brings those conversations into the open: a father learning from his sons, sons learning from their father, and all of us learning from people further down the road.
“Lord, give us wisdom.”
A simple prayer. A lifetime of stories.

Wisdom comes from God and is formed through Scripture, faith, relationships, failures, joys, and hard-fought years. You can't wire it to an heir. You have to receive it, live it, and give it away.
A will can transfer assets in a moment. Money is a powerful multiplier—but it cannot decide what matters, or who we become.
Wisdom passes through relationship, courage, attention and example. Its value grows when it is shared.
Ten planned conversations featuring remarkable people—including a joint conversation and women and men from different walks of life. These teaser questions are topics we hope to explore, not statements made by the guests.

A father and his two sons sit down with remarkable people—often the unsung heroes you won't find on the usual podcast circuit—to ask what shaped them, what tested them, and what they want the next generation to know. Honest stories. Whole-life wisdom. Faith at the foundation, and a welcome for everyone willing to listen.
Every guest has a different story. These seven movements keep us asking better questions, not chasing résumé bullet points. Select a chapter to see the kind of question we'll ask.
Try a questionTurning points, not a résumé. What road brought you here, and where did everything change?
What was given to you? Who passed you a piece of wisdom that changed the way you see the world?

We don't want wisdom to live only in a podcast app. Take a question with you. Ask it of someone older, someone younger, someone you love.

Conversations shouldn't disappear when an episode ends. This is a growing collection of ideas, questions and tools you can carry into your own life. The notes below are starting reflections on the show's themes—not quotations or takeaways from unreleased interviews.

Explore a questionBrowse the themes behind Inherit Wisdom.
The first inheritance is the willingness to receive.
Wisdom often arrives as an interruption: a question we were not ready for, a correction that stung, or a patient example we only recognized years later. Receiving it takes attention and humility. We cannot inherit the experience of someone further along the road, but we can learn to recognize the patterns their experience revealed.
The invitation is simple: name someone whose judgment you trust, ask what shaped it, and listen long enough to learn something you did not expect.
Take it to the table
Who saw something in you before you saw it yourself?
An inheritance can be lived long before it is given.
Some family legacies are written down. Others are repeated so often they become ordinary: a prayer at bedtime, an apology offered quickly, an open seat at the table, a habit of generosity. These small practices form the kind of people we become.
None of us receives a perfect inheritance. Part of wisdom is deciding what to gratefully continue, what to change, and what we hope the next generation will receive from us.
Take it to the table
Which family practice would you want to survive three generations?
Endurance is not just about making it through.
We tend to tell difficult stories after they have a satisfying ending. But the middle matters: what happened to our character, our faith, our relationships, and our priorities while the outcome was still uncertain?
A wise conversation leaves space for the unfinished parts. It asks not only how someone succeeded, but who they became, who helped them, and which choices they would make differently.
Take it to the table
What difficult season changed you in a way success never could?
Resources are powerful. Direction matters more.
Money, influence, ability and time can multiply what we pursue. That makes stewardship a character question before it becomes a technical one. We can ask how to accumulate resources and still fail to ask what they are for.
Wisdom helps us examine the direction of our ambition: whom it serves, what it costs, what it gives away, and what kind of life it is forming.
Take it to the table
What is one thing you have learned to give away instead of holding onto?
Times change. Truth does not have to.
Technology, markets and public attention change quickly. The Christian foundation of Inherit Wisdom begins with a different starting point: wisdom is something we ask God for, seek in Scripture, and learn through the faithful lives of others.
That conviction does not make every decision easy. It makes the questions clearer: Is it true? Is it good? Who does this serve? What kind of person will I become if I keep doing it?
Take it to the table
When everything feels loud, whose voice helps you hear what matters?
More field notes, episode wisdom cards, and reading recommendations will arrive as the show grows.
Both seasons are just the beginning. Some of the most meaningful stories come from people you might never find on the usual podcast circuit.

Send us a person’s name and tell us why their story needs to be heard. Your recommendation is not limited to a particular season.
We begin with conversations. The longer vision is a home for timeless wisdom you can hear, read, wear, share and put into practice. These are possibilities we hope to explore—not products on sale today.
Our favorite books—the ones that shaped us, the ones we return to, and the ones we keep recommending. And maybe, someday, a book of our own.
Bring the conversation to teams, communities and dinner tables.
Thoughtful everyday reminders to live what matters.
